What's included.

Off-the-shelf gypsum coving installed neatly with proper mitres at the corners. Fast and effective.

Heavier ornate cornice repaired or replaced on traditional Edinburgh and Borders properties.

Plaster run on the wall using a profile template for original-looking restoration work where stock profiles do not fit.

Damaged sections cut out and pieced in carefully so the join disappears. Painted-over jobs cleaned back to detail.

Can you match an existing cornice?

Usually yes. We take a profile off the existing run and either source close stock or run a new bit in situ to match.

Do you do plain ceilings too?

Yes, plain skim ceilings with no cornice are most of what we do. Cornice is the optional extra on heritage rooms.

How long does cornice work take?

A standard room of coving is a day. Period cornice restoration depends on the profile and scope, we will scope it on a quote.

Is it expensive?

Standard coving is cheap and quick. Heavy period cornice restoration is skilled work and priced accordingly.
